Hidden deep in the Philippine jungle is a stretch of river that seems to defy the laws of Mother Nature. The river has no discernible source, the clear blue waters pop out from the ground and then wind down to the ocean.
It is no more than 50-feet deep and is only just long enough to be considered a river. Its name is the Hinatuan Enchanted River in Mindanao, Philippines.
The saltwater that flows along its length to the Pacific Ocean is flawless. The locals have long considered it to be a miraculous river with healing powers.
Visitors from all over the world head to the destination to jump into the crystal clear aqua flow.
No one is entirely sure where the saltwater emanates from. The most accepted theory is that the water comes from an underground cave system. The system acts as a filter, clearing the water of any dirt or silt which would normally contaminate a stream of this nature.
If you are lucky enough to be travelling through the Philippines anytime soon, you need to make sure this beautiful spot is part of your itinerary.
